2017 Targets for San Antonio

Reaching Everyone

In 2016 we will complete a water system covering 17 communities, and together with new systems in 3 additional communities, this will represent 47% of the San Antiono community gaining access to safe water. We will continue to ramp up our focus on water quality through hypochlorination with new installations in 5 systems, and continuous treatment in at least 50% of total systems.

Achieving Forever

In 2016 we will build the water committees' capacity to ensure that at least 20 communities are setting sustainable tariffs. In addition, Water For People will work with the district to create a strategic water and sanitation plan to ensure the sustainable operation and maintenance of water systems in each community. This will increase San Antonio's level of sustainability by 22%.
