2017 Targets for Arani

Reaching Everyone

Raise levels of service 5% through building one new system, extending existing water systems to new users and supporting families living in remote areas to access alternative technologies, like rainwater harvesting.  Improve water quality in 40% of systems by training water committees in sample collection and preventative and corrective actions.

Achieving Forever

Increase levels of sustainability 5% by helping at least 4 water and sanitation committees to better match their tariffs to the costs of delivering service; training and accrediting plumbers through the Plumber Training Institute (INFOCAL) to improve community access to professional services; and involving the newly formed Association of Water Committees in capacity building.
